Gorman House

Gorman Inpatient Unit provides holistic, short-stay care (3-5 days) to people seeking alcohol and other drug treatment. Non-medical residential detoxification unit. Men and women ages 17+.

The primary function of the unit is to provide a safe, therapeutic and comfortable environment for client withdrawal from mood-altering substances, including alcohol, heroin, amphetamines and cocaine.

Kerfoot was engaged to carry out a complete strip out and refit of all communications and electrical services in the unit, including upgrade of existing switchboards.

The project was completed within a live hospital environment and minimum disruption was achieved using high levels of communication with all stakeholder and careful site management for the duration of the project.

Kerfoot worked closely with the equipment suppliers, managing lead times on various equipment including the light fittings and distribution boards.
