Kerfoot Projects was awarded the electrical services and were very excited to be a part of this project. This Project is one of the first where LHD and Sydney UNI are incorporated as one to creating a learn space.
This fit out/ Refurbishment consisted of the following spaces
- Large Formal Teaching Rooms
- Informal Teaching Spaces
- Collaborative Theatre
- Cabaret Theatre
- Seminar Rooms
- Meeting Rooms
- LHD Staff Room
- Comms Room
- Accessible WC
The project included the supply and installation of
- Power
- Lighting
- Monitored Emergency Lighting
- Dynalite Lighting Control
- New Communication Room
- Communications Cabling including Fibre Optics, Copper ties from the main frames & CAT6A cabling
- New switch Boards plus new sub main cabling
This Project took a lot of planning as we were required to provide minimal disruption to the hospital, patients and other facilities. The supply and Installation of the new sub main cabling from the sub-station took nearly 2 months of planning to organise a shutdown to connect into the sub-station as we were required to identify all affected areas and required to supply temporary power and lighting to critical affect areas
Not only with the hospital being operational 24/7 also the unique design of this refurbishment took a lot of coordination to ensure everything could be installed correctly and operational for its purpose.
Now open the WECC is open is a hit with the public as you can see the facility from the cafeteria and the feature lighting has been a huge hit with all parties.
Kerfoot management are very proud of this project and the team that helped competed it.
