In an Australian first, Sydney Airport has announced Wolfgang Puck, the internationally acclaimed chef who has catered the Oscars for the past 21 years, to launch The Bistro by Wolfgang Puck as one of the premium dining brands within the new City View precinct in T1 International Departures beyond customs. The new offering will be joined by four new food brands to collectively form the City View precinct. The exciting new precinct will include global first Benny Burger by Shannon Bennett, first to Australia concept Joe & The Juice, and a bespoke Heineken House by Heineken, offering passengers a unique food and dining experience before they fly. Best known for his gourmet credentials running award-winning restaurant Vue de Monde, Australian chef Shannon Bennett has created the Benny Burger concept especially for Sydney Airport’s T1.
Kerfoot Projects was awarded the electrical services and were very excited to be a part of this project.
The project included the supply and installation of:
- Power to all new kitchen equipment, Fridges, freezers and staff areas.
- General lighting for kitchen facility’s
- Detailed feature lighting to all the public areas are shop front
- Communications services
- Emergency lighting
- CCTV camera cabling
- All signage lighting
Kerfoot worked with the Airport’s project deliver team to ensure the project was completed with minimal disruption to travelers or other facilities.
This meant coordinating shutdowns, delivery’s and all noisy works with in the specific times allowed by the Airport’s project team.
The opening day was set and the team at Kerfoot helped hand the project over to the client on time and within budget.
The Kerfoot project team were delighted when asked to participate in the test testing day for the kitchen staff with approval for the new Burgers being given by all that tasted.
Now open the Burger shop is a hit with the public and the feature lighting has been a huge hit with customers.
