Kerfoot Mechanical were engaged to undertake the Mechanical electrical (HVAC) works at the Sydney University Seymour Centre.
This project included the supply and install of a new Form 3B Mechanical switchboard to replace existing. Kerfoot carried out numerous site surveys to investigate existing Mechanical services to be retained or replaced, BMS and Fire interface. This proved to be a difficult and tedious exercise due to no previous electrical drawings being made available and 30-year-old power and control wiring.
There was a lot of planning involved prior to the Mechanical Switchboard changeover to ensure no Mechanical Services are disrupted at any time. All works where to be carried out within a strict program during a small window within the Christmas holidays.
Kerfoot however Successfully supplied a new fully compliant form 3B Switchboard with no disruption to the Mechanical services. Energy Meters were also installed to monitor energy consumption.
Kerfoot were also engaged to supply and install new Power and Control Wiring to the following equipment as well retain all existing services within the new Mechanical Switchboard.
- Water Cooled Chillers
- Condenser water Pumps
- Chilled water Pumps
- Hot Water Boiler
- Hot Water Pumps
- Air Handling Units
This proved to be a very successful project for both Kerfoot and the Mechanical Services Contractor and we look forward to working with them again in the future.
