St Francis Catholic College PV System

Scope of Works
To Design, Supply and Install a Grid Connected PV system at St Francis Catholic College Edmundson Park as part of the construction of the school new Technical and Applied Science Building.
The design of the system was to be for a 60kW system, with power generated via LG panels which were to be installed with an orientation to maximise the systems overall output.

Job Description
The system installed for the project comprised of 182 x LG 330w panels, 2 x SMA 25kW inverters which had an AC supply from our custom PV Distribution Board which incorporated the systems Grid Protection Relay.
To maximise the systems output the panel layout was dependant of the physical design and the layout of services on the new buildings rooftop.
The design of the panels was finalised with all 182 panels facing directly North with a tilt of 15 degrees, each row of panels was installed with the required clearance of the buildings skylights to eliminate any possible shading issues caused by the mounted panels on tilt.
The system once completed and fully functional was connected to the Grid with a import/export meter upgrade at the schools existing MSB.
