Department Communities and Justice, Tranche 2 PV - BIGS Courthouses

Project Description:

NSW Government agencies own and operate facilities and infrastructure that consume approximately 1,800 gigawatt hours (GWh) of electricity annually, representing around 2.7% of NSW’s electricity sales. The NSW Government Resource Efficiency Policy (GREP) aims to diminish the operating costs of the NSW Government and set a precedent for enhancing resource efficiency. As part of the NSW Government’s enduring dedication to a sustainable future for our state, rooftop solar systems have been successfully installed at 22 courthouses across metropolitan and regional NSW.

Kerfoot’s engagement on this project involved serving as the solar contractor for the installation of solar systems and EV chargers at 12 courthouses across NSW, a total of 855 kW of Roof Top Solar:

  • Belmont Courthouse
  • Blacktown Courthouse
  • Broadmeadow Children’s Court
  • Gosford Courthouse
  • Mount Druitt Courthouse
  • Toronto Courthouse
  • Batemans Bay Courthouse
  • Liverpool Courthouse
  • Penrith Courthouse
  • Port Kembla Courthouse
  • Sutherland Courthouse
  • Waverley Courthouse

Specific items within the scope of this project were:
